CGs!

Sorry about things updating every other week lately, things have been busy but I’ll try and get back to weekly updates now.

Now for some exciting news… I’m pleased to announce that Aurora’s Nightmare will be getting a full set of CGs! If you’re not familiar with the term, CGs are a type of special artwork used in visual novels. While most of the artwork is done by placing a suitable piece of character art on top of the background image for the location of the current scene. That way, you can cover a wide variety of scenes with a relatively small amount of artwork. CGs, on the other hand, are full screen illustrations of specific scenes. They’re mainly used for especially important or dramatic scenes.

CGs are something I’ve really wanted in Aurora’s Nightmare from the beginning but wasn’t sure I’d have the budget for. Fortunately, I was able to fit them in after all. They’ll be done by Badriel, who is also responsible for the game’s excellent background art.

Right now, we’re still in the early stages of the CG work, but expect to see some featured on this blog sooner or later…
