I know I said that I’d hopefully have exciting updates in the future, and I likely will a bit later in the summer. Right now though, the only “progress” I can report is of the boring technical type. File organization and things like that. Important? Yes. Interesting to write or read about? Not so much. But it’s still a key part of game development. Computers need to be optimized. Files need to have a clear naming scheme and organizational structure. If you don’t plan out details like those early on, and stay on top of them throughout the entire development process, then sooner or later things are going to become a complete mess and you’ll spend more time trying to find what you need and get things running properly than you will actually making the game. But I’ll be happy to move on to some more fun and interesting tasks now that all that’s taken care of.
