Nearly a day late with today’s update, huh?\u00a0 Sorry about that.\u00a0 I was loaded down with a whole lot of extra work over the past week, throwing my schedule into serious disarray.\u00a0 I’ll try to get the next couple of updates queued up in advance to avoid this happening again, but it’s likely to be another couple of weeks before things calm down, so I can’t make any promises.\u00a0 But anyway, let’s continue on to today’s topic.<\/p>\n
When talking about Lucerna (the world in which Aurora\u2019s Nightmare takes place) a few weeks back, I mentioned that its peaceful exterior hides a number of mysteries and dark secrets.\u00a0 Some of them are completely unknown by its inhabitants.\u00a0 But there are three great mysteries which everyone in Lucerna is aware of.\u00a0 Many people dedicate their lives to solving these three mysteries, Ars and Tia being two of them.<\/p>\n
The first of these three mysteries is known as the lost history.\u00a0 Lucerna clearly has a long history, with numerous buildings clearly dating back hundreds or even thousands of years, advanced technology and infrastructure, and a highly developed culture.\u00a0 However, all historical records, both oral and written, abruptly end a mere 300 years in the past.
\nWritings from the time make it sound as if every single person on Lucerna merely awoke one day to find that they had no memory of their pasts.\u00a0 Some hints remained.\u00a0 Basic knowledge, family ties, personalities, even culture.\u00a0 But none could remember even the smallest scrap of their lives or history from before that fateful day.
\nUncovering the secret of their lost history has become an obsession for the Angellus but it is only one mystery of many that you\u2019ll encounter in Aurora\u2019s Nightmare<\/p>\n
