Today I\u2019m going to talk a little bit about the world were the story of Aurora\u2019s Nightmare takes place.<\/p>\n
Lucerna is a world defined by three words: ancient, grandeur, and peace.\u00a0 It\u2019s a beautiful world covered in blue skies and grassy meadows.\u00a0 Nature is a key part of Lucerna and even its biggest cities are filled with greenery.\u00a0 But this is no underdeveloped world.\u00a0 Ancient stone structures cover the planet, instilling a sense of age and grandeur while hiding a surprisingly advanced level of technology.\u00a0 While some fell into ruin centuries ago, many are still used for residential and business purposes.
\nFor those of you with some architectural knowledge, I\u2019m aiming for a look similar to European High Gothic style (though without the gargoyles).\u00a0 That said, I haven\u2019t settled on a background \/ environment artist yet, so there may be some changes later on.<\/p>\n
Lucerna\u2019s main inhabitants are the Angellus, a humanoid race with white feathery wings.\u00a0 I would like to stress that, despite their appearances, the Angellus are not angels.\u00a0 Lucerna is not heaven, or any sort of afterlife.\u00a0 However, the similarities are intentional.\u00a0 But as for the reason?\u00a0 You\u2019ll have to play the game to find out.<\/p>\n
Lucerna appears to be a truly beautiful and peaceful world.\u00a0 And, in fact, it is.\u00a0 War is known only in books, crime is almost unheard of, and even sickness is uncommon and rarely serious.\u00a0 But all is not as it appears.\u00a0 Lucerna harbors a number of mysteries and dark secrets (some of which I\u2019ll discuss in future posts).\u00a0 Through an unfortunate twist of fate, a young man named Ars and his friends find themselves drawn closer and closer to the truth.\u00a0 Though whether or not they\u2019ll survive long enough to find it will depend on what choices you, the player, make.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
