No, I\u2019m not announcing a release date for Aurora\u2019s Nightmare.\u00a0 Actually, one nice thing about casual indie development like I do is that there\u2019s really no pressure to set a firm release date very far in advance.\u00a0 Sure it\u2019s nice to have a target but, as mentioned in the previous post, I don\u2019t have any full time employees.\u00a0 Heck, I\u2019m not even full time.\u00a0 I\u2019d love to put six or eight hours a day into Aurora\u2019s Nightmare, but that just isn\u2019t possible right now.\u00a0 At best, I can often do two or three.\u00a0 And I never know when something more important might come up, forcing me, or one of the others, to stop working on it entirely for a while.<\/p>\n
Simply put, with such an uncertain schedule, announcing a release date at any point before the game is nearly finished would be pointless, since it would almost certainly be wrong.<\/p>\n
So when will Aurora\u2019s Nightmare be released?\u00a0 I was originally hoping late this year, though that\u2019s pretty unlikely at this point.\u00a0 I might still be able to get a demo done though.\u00a0 A 2016 release is possible (and what\u2019s I\u2019m really hoping for), but it\u2019s looking like I\u2019m going to have a lot of unavoidable extra work starting this fall and likely running to mid 2017 or so (long story short, I\u2019ll be getting another master\u2019s degree), which will likely slow things down a bit.<\/p>\n
Anyway, work on Aurora\u2019s Nightmare will continue and, once I do have a release date worked out, I\u2019ll be sure to announce it here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
