As a writer, I\u2019ve had to write scenes that convey many different kinds of emotions.\u00a0 Joy, sorrow, anger, mystery, etc.\u00a0 A good writer should be able to make his readers feel the correct emotion in each scene.\u00a0 In many cases, it\u2019s the same emotion that the characters are feeling.\u00a0 Though, in other cases, the reader has different knowledge and\/or values than the characters and, as such, is supposed to respond to the scene in another way.<\/p>\n
However, there\u2019s one emotion I haven\u2019t worked with much and that\u2019s fear.\u00a0 My previous stories haven\u2019t had strong elements of horror or suspense.\u00a0 Aurora\u2019s Nightmare, on the other hand, while not horror, is supposed to be suspenseful and, at times, rather scary.\u00a0 Writing scenes that properly convey those emotions is an interesting learning experience for me.\u00a0 Of course, like any good writer, I learn something new with every story I write.\u00a0 This time, it\u2019s how to write scary scenes.\u00a0 I just need to do my best and hope I learn that lesson well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
