Progress Report: August 2014

It’s been quite a while since my first progress report on Aurora’s Nightmare.  Let’s take a look at how it’s doing now.  Here’s the chart and, as promised, I fancied it up a bit.  I’ll do some more next time it makes an appearance.

Progress Chart August 2014

Now let’s review what’s changed since last time.  Most of my work has been focused on the character art cleanup and coloring and, as you can see, it’s nearly done!  I have maybe another week or two of work left to finish the remaining poses, but I’m starting a new job creating a game design program at the University of Hawaii and preparing for the start of fall semester will likely occupy most of my time for the next couple of weeks.  But I should have the poses done by the end of the month at latest.
Shading has, sadly, been progressing much slower than I’d like but I decided to update the progress bar to give a better idea of the actual amount of shading that’s been done, rather than basing it entirely on the number of completed poses.

The other area you’ll see big progress in is background art.  The number of backgrounds in the game has increased a bit from what was shown on the previous progress chart, but that just means a better looking game and Badriel (the background artist) is moving through them at a steady pace.

Finally, there’s been a slight increase in the music section, but not enough for me to really say anything about it yet.  Hopefully in the not too distant future.
