Meet Mira

It’s been quite a while since I last introduced a character, hasn’t it?  Well, it’s time to change that.  As always, let’s start with some of her basic info from my design document.

Mira Rarus
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Height: 5’ 4”
Build: Lithe, Cute
Hair: Black (long, slightly curly)
Eyes: Brown
Dominant Hand: Right
Clothing: Typical Angellus clothing (a bit baggy, mostly white).  She’s very small and thin, so most of her clothing is a little too big.  She always wears large glasses.
Additional Note (Appearance): Wears glasses.  Rather bookish and a bit shy.
Character Summary: A junior researcher at the LRC.  She’s rather popular with many of the young men on the staff but doesn’t realize it.  She’s also fairly shy and doesn’t easily   become comfortable around others, preferring her books and research.  She’s currently    the only LRC scientist who focuses solely on Nightmares.

Mira is a researcher at the same corporation as Ars, Tia, and Aurora.  Though she works in a different department, so none of our heroes know her very well.  Unlike Tia and Aurora, she’s rather shy and timid, though she can be very passionate when talking about her work.

Here’s some of Hanbee’s original sketches of Mira.

Mira is the LRC’s sole Nightmare researcher.  The reason being that, due to their rarity and tendency to disappear within minutes or even seconds of appearing, there’s very little to actually study, beyond the accounts of the survivors.

While Mira is an important character (she wouldn’t have her own character art if she didn’t), her role is mostly limited to one of the three main story paths and even then she’s not the route’s main heroine.  As such, she didn’t exist in my original novel version of the story.  But, when expanding that story into a full visual novel, I ended up with a few more roles that needed to be filled, Mira being one of them.
However, I mentioned before that I may be running a crowd funding campaign (either Kickstarter or Indiegogo) in the future to try and get money to fund some extra content for the game.  Well, one of my planned stretch goals for said campaign is a fourth story path where Mira is the heroine.  But that’s all I’ll say on the subject for now…

Let’s finish up with a look at one of Mira’s final in-game poses.
